Staff I cooks something using a kamado (cooking stove) outside every month these days.

He planned to cook chikuzen-ni this time.

It was about to rain, though.

It would be fun, even if it rains, because we have a special cheering party here.

Q-taro: “Excuse me, Ms. General Manager! How did it go?”

Ms. H: “Well, no idea. I’ve done nothing about it.”

Q-taro: “Really? I’ve seen you doing these or those, here and there..?”

Ms. H: “Not at all. Ha-Ha-Ha.”

“I love the sea!”

“I love the sea!”

Haruhi-Blog

At Haruhi-en Niho

As for going out, our residents usually go to a supermarket for grocery shopping with us, or to a DIY store to get groceries, tools, vegetable seeds and so on.

Sometimes, they go to a restaurant with their families, or they take part in their memorial service.

They sometimes go on a day trip.

Other places to visit are, well, exhibition, museum, library and more..

We visited Mr. M’s home with Ms. H who loves outgoing, this time.

Then, we went to the seaside nearby, at Aio area in Yamaguchi-shi, where Mr. M used to go fishing.

It was not familiar to me, though I was grown up in Yamaguchi-shi, too.

Well, the sea makes us feel nostalgic, doesn’t it?

We are not troubled with recreational activities.

We are not troubled with recreational activities.

I felt strange to read the report of outside training session of a new staff.

New staffs of other group homes worries about different thing from ours.

“Recreation activities get stuck in a rut.”

“Do you know better recreational activities?”

Our new staff answered, “We don’t do such recreational activities.”

New staffs of other group homes were surprised at it very much.

Well, it is not enough.

We have sometimes opportunities to hold some recreational activities, such as harmonica performance of a volunteer.

Our staffs are not troubled with recreational activities, but troubled with letting the residents lead ordinary life as we do.

Spot the humor!

Spot the humor!

Haruhi-Blog

We always response our basic principle at morning gathering after breakfast.

We often ask a resident to write it again and again, because we often lose one after another…

Here is not ‘spot-the-difference’, but ‘spot-the-humor’.

Look at the two photos, and spot the humor!

The resident who wrote this always write it correctly.

But this time, he chuckled to himself, hearing staffs reading it and laughing at what he wrote.
